Joe is responsible for managing the overall workflow of the tax department, which includes tax planning, preparation, filing and payments for our clients. He has extensive experience in tax consulting and compliance for some of the world's foremost families and businesses. Joe is passionate about helping clients leverage tax opportunities to advance both their financial and non-financial goals.

Background

Joe joined 1911 Trust in the summer of 2020 after 3 years in various lead tax lines of service at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Boston. He is a Certified Public Accountant and proud Double Riverhawk (two-time UMass Lowell alum), earning his BSBA with Accounting and Finance concentrations and a Legal Studies minor in 2016, followed by his Master of Science in Accounting in 2017. He also served as an Interim Advisory Board Member for the Manning School of Business Accounting Concentration in 2021.

Away from the office

Joe's proudest accomplishment is the work he has done to elevate underserved communities and individuals with disabilities. Prior to his time at 1911 Trust, he co-owned and operated a successful tennis academy with his late father, which focused on bringing the sport of tennis to people who may otherwise not have been able to participate. Joe is a USPTA certified P1 Level Wheelchair Tennis Instructor (inactive) with experience teaching at Harvard University. He has worked closely with the Lowell Association for the Blind and with the City of Methuen's Recreation Department, where he previously served as a Program Supervisor. Joe and his wife live north of Boston and enjoy boating, swimming, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
